If you're new here, I'm André, a tech entrepreneur and founder of LaunchFast, a stack that helps web developers build in a weekend what it would take them 2 months. I post daily updates on my progress from 0€ to 10k€ by the end of 2024.
Alright, so today… I woke up at 4h30 and worked until 19h00 with only a 30-minute break for lunch. 12 of those hours were spent on marketing, and 2 hours spent trying to make a logo.
Let’s dive in and see the results.
12 hours of marketing
Ok, so how the hell does one do 12 hours of marketing?
Here’s how:
Use GummySearch to look for keywords related to launchfast on Reddit
Use 𝕏 Pro to look for keywords related to launchfast on 𝕏
Spend the rest of the day replying to people looking for a solution like launchfast.
Results:
7851 impressions
+14 followers
+52 new people on the website
Not going to lie, underwhelming results for 12 hours of work. Maybe it will compound, but I’m not seeing the results just yet.
I’m happy I tried this out, but I don’t think this is a strategy worth doing.
I think my time is better spent improving my product and creating content, instead of reaching out.
From my experience creating original content attracts a lot more viewers (and potential customers) to my product.
2 hours spent trying to make a logo
This is what I had before:
And this is what I came up with after 2 hours of work:
I know, this logo sucks! Go ahead, you can laugh 🤣
I’m not good at this 😅
But luckily my man Zaid is, and he came up with this (also in 2 hours):
Considerably better, no?
Tomorrow I’ll give it some refining touches, but it’s looking pretty good 😚🤌
Plan for tomorrow
Give Zaid’s logo some refining touches
Rebrand LaunchFast to LaunchFastPro to distinguish it from other boilerplates
Go through the 9 recorded interviews with devs and make a list of improvements to the product
Implement those improvements, one by one
Record a video of my showing off LaunchFastPro
Tracking metrics
I also think it’s a good idea to start tracking the metrics that matter for LaunchFastPro to thrive. For now, I’ll start by tracking how many people sign up to the teaser page.
At the moment: 9 people are signed up. Not super fantastic. I need to increase this number as much as possible. Ideas and feedback are welcome 🔥
I’ve also casually met a guy called Eric today, who’s teaching tech entrepreneurs at a university, and I volunteered LaunchFastPro to his students. Might be an interesting opportunity to get the word out.
That’s it for today folks. Have a great rest of your week 💪
